Gary Winters
I’m broadly influenced by Pop Art, Conceptual Art and the history of photography. My visual work ranges across lens and print media – either producing limited edition print works or collaged photographic pieces, sometimes augmenting pre-existing ‘found’ prints and images.
Content is determined by a schizophrenic approach to new and old classical forms – text (polemic statements, platitudes, common phrases) and abstract geometric forms mixing with the figure, the landscape, nature.
I have previously presented work at Ilkley Arts Trail and co-habit the Cornmill Art Space, running courses, workshops and hosting social events.

Ilkley Arts mission is to promote and celebrate the arts in Ilkley and surrounding areas to enrich the lives of residents and visitors and to support and help the development of our exhibiting artists.
Working with a wide range of organisations to achieve this mission from those whose focus is on developing the younger generation such as Art School Ilkley, Bradford School of Art and Nell Bank Centre to those who are working with individuals, families and carers whose world involves dementia and other age related conditions.
