Helen Brayshaw
Whether it’s an abstract landscape or a carefully observed still life study, Helen is a painter concerned with process and materiality.
For her current work, Helen prepares multiple batches of hand-mixed liquid paint which she pours directly onto the canvas. The colours then collide and mingle, over time arranging themselves into semi-abstract images with no further human intervention.

Ilkley Arts works with a wide range of organisations to achieve this mission from those whose focus is on developing young artists such as Art School Ilkley and Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre as well as partnerships with Ilkley Manor House, Outside the Box, Ilkley Literature Festival and the Ilkley Playhouse.
